It is of a great honour for the Birgu Local Council, one of the smallest localities in Malta, to host this international event of such a large scale. It was also of great honour, that Birgu, the only Maltese city to represent our country, won the Awards in the LivCom Finals held in Rome. It is believed that such event of LivCom will continue to increase the rich history and culture of our locality.

It is with redoubled pride that we have been honored on the stage of the LivCom competition, a prestigious award that proves Agueda is one of the most liveable cities. The Awards jury consists of experts from all over the world. By evaluating data and practical actions, the competition aims to select and commend cities with the best practices. Receiving the Awards increases the city's responsibility to continue its efforts to provide better living for our citizens and visitors.

By participating in LivCom, we met many friends and invited them to New Zealand. They experienced the construction of ecological community in New Zealand's first ecological city, which is of great significance to the promotion of environmental protection technology in New Zealand.

We won the overall gold 1st place for our city population, they bumped us into a little bigger population because of our daytime population, so cities between 75,000 and 150,000, and we won first in that.

St. Cloud was the only American city at this year's awards, which cities have to be invited to apply for.

It is testament to the Municipal District staff that they are to the forefront of best practice and an example of what can achieved through focussed engagement and collaboration. It is a fantastic achievement and well done to all involved.

We’re very proud to be here representing our region. Sometimes we take for granted how clean and green and vibrant our environment and our community is. We collected innovative ideas from both the competitors in Metro’s category and smaller cities. There are lots of examples we’ll be taking home.

Working to develop these four policy documents has been a unique and rewarding experience. The team led the municipality through a grass-roots community engagement process creating a long term planning framework that will guide current and future councils and staff.

We’re proud to have had an opportunity to share our progress with colleagues the world over. Upon careful review of the evidence, LivCom judges came to a consensus and designated Honolulu the world’s most livable large city. This is unquestionably the highest honor our city could have.

This global award is a fantastic Christmas present after a tough Covid year. The awards were a great opportunity to showcase the district to an international audience and endorse the city’s stellar reputation, promoting it as an attractive place to live.

A majority of people live in cities and city life has become a common lifestyle. It offers city managers with an opportunity to discuss city management and development plans. Such an honor to receive the Awards!

The LivCom Awards is a unique opportunity to network, enabling us to have access to a wide range of resources. It showcases the latest progress in sustainable development and inspires us to adopt innovative action plans and solutions to the problems we face today.

We are proud that Ipswich has been recognized as an International Liveable City by the Jury consisting of members from different backgrounds and perspectives, united by the simple goal of building liveable cities.

The Awards open a platform for exchange of information and practical experience among cities. Each city presents its policies, projects and examples that reflect the development direction of an international eco-city. We are one of the most desirable cities in the world.

This much-anticipated Awards show that we have a green vision and are heading in the right direction to make our vision of a world-class city into reality.

As a "window" for Beijing building a "world city", the District Government attaches great importance to applying for the Awards. We hope to take this platform to strengthen exchanges with cities around the world, learn from experiences, showcase city image and create an international liveable city.

I am proud that Ostrowie Wielkopolskim in Greater Poland Region was awarded in two categories, winning second place silver and a special award. This honor has a special value, as it was awarded by reps of UNESCO and the United Nations.

I have immense pride in receiving this international recognition. This achievement serves as a catalyst for further milestones and reflects the comprehensive resurgence that Abu Dhabi City has been experiencing under wise leadership and a forward-thinking vision.

We have already been recognized internationally - winning silver at LivCom Awards. However, we do not intend to rest on our laurels. We realize that the future of the next generation is in our hands and therefore need to continue to implement the goals we have outlined.

The victory of the New Administrative Capital is the result of the support of the political leadership and the instructions of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to build a sustainable, smart and green city.
